Go to industry, if you want to come back, can do with better pay and title
And don't say that was the reason you left, since they may think you were not a good performer. Say after three years, you can't take traveling any longer, ☺️. I came from industry and from what I can tell I am making the same as the next level
Industry is FS and I'm located outside of New York. RP recently left too
You don't have to be located in New York, just focus on your core skills and go from there. I am new to this app but if you need ideas, and advice on where to start, I can help out, pm me if there is a way
I think I may know your practice . Don't make a hasty decision. If you are in the assurance practice, do realize this was a bad year. We did not meet our targets and it has a cumulative impact . Look at other people around you, they are getting fired. What made you different from your starting class? How many of them are still around? What makes you stand out? How good was your network? How were your metrics and ratings? These are things to ponder before you make a judgement call to move . If you have been unhappy with the job, your team and work then that is a different issue. As pwc1 said focus on yourself and your core skills. If you need advise or assistance to plan your mid year case (if you are in assurance) let me know in the comments.

Thanks for the advice guys. PwC2, those are all valid points. I'd say my metrics this year were average to slightly above. Didn't mean to suggest I was automatically looking for an out, just wanted to seek some counsel on what some of the more experienced individuals here would do in this situation. Obviously disheartening, but I'd love to seek more advice offline (PwC1 too): hjej3@slipry.net
As much as it sucks, I would recommend sticking it out one more year to get the title upgrade for your resume.. You've already committed 3 years, so you'll def get promo next year and with the time you've already given I think it'd be worth it.
