I joined HCL last week and they initiated post joining background verification. I worked for a small startup for 5 months which do have only 10 employees in the past and didn't deducting anything for pf or TDS, also they didn't provided any TDS. Now, HCl background verification team is asking for form 16, i already told them that i don't have form 16 for that startup, now they send me one statement of fact and ask it fill that why I don't have form 16? Are they going to resicnd my offer?

I recently lateraled (3rd hear) into a biglaw firm from a clerkship just before the start of the fiscal year (Oct. 1). In my experience pro se litigants normally appear crazy. I have an appeal of a police licensing decision that I want to do pro se because I don't think it's that complicated, I can't find a lawyer I like / trust in this area, and they all want a ton of money to do it.

What is your opinion on lawyers representing themselves pro se?
