Thoughts on PWC's public sector? How does it compare to Deloitte federal or state & local?

Depends on where you are and what you do within any firm. PwC does a ton of high value strategy consulting with the fed gov, but also does a lot of internal controls work, just like any of the Big 4. Both firms invest a lot in the federal space and are significantly more established and doing more interesting work than EY and KPMG federal practices

Deloitte is better. PwC does a lot of plain management based work for Fed, source I left PwC to come to deloitte

PWC does a lot of staff aug work

Thanks! Do you know if their public sector consultants are primarily based in DC or do their state & local consultants travel like ours?

State and local typically don’t travel and are based within the region of the project. Sometimes federal staff will be pulled in and they’ll travel, but usually it’d be remote work.

At Deloitte we have Federal and Public Sector, separating the fed clients from state and local. Since PwC’s entire fed and state & local practice is grouped together under PwC Public Sector, it can be a little convincing. But the Fed and State & local work is largely separate

I went on ONE date with a guy that lives next door months ago. He told me he eats out every night and tips his doordahers poorly. That was a red flag, so I never talked to him again. Anyhoo, I bumped into him tonight, and he cussed me out so bad at a CVS. I’m confused as to what I did wrong?

Hi,

I attended my last round of technical discussion last Saturday and I got the results positive, they said they’ll call for the HR round. It’s been almost a week, and I’m trying to reach, they’re delaying with some excuses. Today the HR says that she has to get approval from senior manager and it might take sometime to get back. My LWD is next week.

Is this how the process is? Can I trust and stay? Or should I go with the other opportunity?

We all love to hate on billable hours. What’s a real, feasible alternative???

Small agency owner 🙋🏻‍♂️ I’ve wracked my brain and have 3 biz model options, none great:

Billable hrs: Generally accepted. We all know the downsides.

Pay4performance: Big upside potential, tons of risks.

Project pricing: Cloak for billable hours. You have to estimate project cost with something.

Who’s thought of a better approach??? Genuinely curious if there is one.
