This is a strawman argument
All these "where do we draw the line!?" Panic posts are

It really is a sad state of affairs when people are resorting to this passive aggressive and hyperbolic bs over the confederacy. Like, the state that revolted against the USA and triggered a civil war.....over slavery. Kind of hope these folks can take a step back and realize they literally are the bad guys.

Taking at face value that the intent is to defend their heritage, I am struggling to think of a more embarrassing tactic than pouting.
No, you stopped a bit short. All non-native Americans should be immediately banished to reservations. Native Americans get the rest.

Something is wrong when you’re defending a portion of the country that committed treason and lost 🤷♂️
Not sure if this is a serious proposal or not, but if it is, I would 100% veto it. George Washington wasn’t a perfect person, but he still founded America. To say we should remove him and all of the past leaders of this nation because some of their actions were inherently immoral is ludicrous.

Lets put these things on museums. Lets just remind people that we come from a nation who did unspeakable things and are slowly growing.
Lets remind people that when the slave state declared treason we defeated them and it was a triumph for humanity. We are not a perfect country, but we are growing little by little.

Lol the founding fathers statues are conservatives new "don't kneel during the anthem". Talk about anything but the actual issue.

What I struggle with is that the experiences of our US peers of every culture or skin color here, ranging across racism, cruelty, poverty, and systematic bias have been shaped by those experiences.
On the one hand, wiping it from the public view and celebrating progress over past is reason for celebration regarding our strengths.
On the other, wiping out history removes context for what led to experiences faced by peers today. We need that context to see how far we’ve yet to go and what has held some people back. Ignoring that context allows us to pretend everyone has the same opportunities. We’re a few generations out from that equal point. And even then, I think we need the solemn reminders.
(Though, Rushmore could go IMO...Vernon I think now covers the dark stuff, but Rushmore was a big middle finger to the Natives)
Seizing ALL land worked by slaves and giving it to the community had me rolling on the floor laughing, and I’m pretty liberal

100% chance OP barely knows anything about the history of slavery in the US.
Even though you're being sarcastic, you're offering examples of just how deeply entrenched racism is in America. The US has long since needed an overhaul, and I'd be all for most of your suggestions.

Lol you really convinced us you’re not sarcastic 🙄
No, we must have reminders of the evils of history. There’s a reason the concentration camps remain in Europe and why thousands visit them every year to see the horrors so we don’t repeat horrific acts. We should not erase the past in the way.

The post by OP is ridiculous and not being made in good faith

Growing little by little doesn’t cut it by more PM1. Too many people are dying as a result and the system is jacked.
No one is arguing for that OP. You're just making strawman arguments
Get that this is a sarcastic post, but you do realize what you’re making light of is how a lot of western civilization, specifically America came to be.
This is similar to the “boiling frog theory” with Hitler and his supporters, now Trump and his supporters
