I attended interview at amazon for l5 application engineer role ,they told i will be hiring for l4 as my performance was not upto mark one more interview round to go,what will be the salary range for L4 and L5 for an application engineer at amazon could anyone please tell me ?

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. I found out the freelancers who are doing my same work (but have 8 years of experience on me) are getting paid more than double what I make. Can I say this when asking for a raise?
