Wack-jobs. Total wack-jobs.

My view on this depends on the job. I’m super pro vax but I do think individuals should have some choice particularly when a vaccine is very new and their job can be done from home. Healthcare workers, nursing home employees, prison guards, etc. should absolutely be required to be vaccinated.

Insane. There is clear constitutional authority for federal regulation of matters important to public health, specifically in the context of vaccines. I don’t think these state laws would be constitutional. They would likely be preempted. Not to mention they’re plainly stupid from a factual/scientific standpoint.

OP I hope you are ‘normal’ liberal and not ‘9th Circuit’ liberal!!

Pretty sure health care workers and people who work with children have to get a TB test before they can work (at least in IL). Unsure why this would be treated differently

Someone I’ve know since childhood reached out to me last week. She has been struggling with serious health issues for a long time and has been put into hospice because she was denied treatment for so long due to COVID. I went and saw her and I don’t think I will ever be the same again. I’m shaking and I am just so lost. I don’t really know what I’m asking for I just need anything right now.

i feel like staying in consulting isn’t a matter of how efficient/hardworking you are. it’s about your personality’s ability to let the “bad” flow over your shoulders more easily than others who might harbor and resent the lifestyle. That said, consulting is so not for me. The health issues Ive gotten from the intensity of this job is literally astounding. Like I don’t even feel human at this point, but others on my team are fine. it’s a personality thing
