I’m about to turn down an in house position at a client (I actively applied for the position). Any tips on specific language I should include in my email rejecting it? I don’t actually work with the client on any matters - it’s just a firm client so not sure if this even matters?
Hi Fishes, Recently I had got an offer from KPMG (less technical, BLR) with 70% hike; So I resigned from TCS with a Wings1 DCA result pending; After a couple of weeks, I got to know my DCA is approved,80% hike in KOL; So I withdrew my resignation... Now since I am staying with my parents and I would be left with some extra time that I can devote to my skill-upgradation; Request you all to suggest me how should I proceed to more tech role?🙏🏾 Scaler academy or any other certifications?
I currently work at a very ”hyped” food delivery tech company. I’ve been there for 1,5 years now, but the pay is low, bad company culture and I don’t feel appreciated for the work I do. So i’m overall not to happy there, and looking for a new job. However every interview I’ve had so far ask why I want to leave such a ”great” company after less than 2 years? I don’t want to shittalk my job but it’s really makes me feel like i should stay another 6m just so I don’t look bad. What would you do?
Currently a C with 2.5 YOE in PMO. Came in at the lower salary range and looking to take advantage of a hot market. Any companies hiring in Federal space?
Has anyone here interviewed for Accenture’s product analyst role? Have an interview coming up tm and would appreciate any last minute advice. I really don’t know what to expect but have been studying the cracking the pm interview book
What is the Exit opportunities in EY GDS? Will there be chance to land product company jobs from there?
Hi fishes, Need one advice. My brother is Economics graduate. During lockdown due to covid, since both of us were at home, I taught him Salesforce, just for fun. Now he has grown to have an interest in the technology and wants to pursue a career on Salesforce. But all job posting I see, always ask for BTech, MTech and such degrees to apply for openings. Any company out there willing to take a Economics graduate based on knowledge only? Any other courses in INDIA, that may facilitate this?
A good friend that I’ve worked with in the past asked me for a referral. Last time we worked together wasn’t really great. Do I refer them because they’re a friend although I don’t like their work, or should I say no but risk hurting our friendship? Would love some advice!
Looking for some insight on Accenture Interactive culture. Have had no luck researching online and this bowl.

Have interview with Cognizant for position of Business Intelligence, someone please help what to prepare.
Shared this in a comment thread on another post and want to get thoughts — I’m at 9 interviews for an M role at a startup (close to unicorn). The final loops were early this week and the recruiter reached out today to schedule one final interview focused on skills not in the job description. Should I just pull the plug?
Am I the only one weirded out by these mass spreadsheets of individuals who have been laid off? Is anyone really looking to these for hiring purposes?
Change my mind: Desis have lower dating standards when it comes to appearances when choosing Caucasians/white or Asian partners than Desis from their own culture. (If you lived long enough in the west, you all secretly know it is true... LOL!)
Should I be concerned for my career with lack of billable projects? Background: Analyst hired out of undergrad in July 2020. I have worked on 3 proposals in the last 2 weeks, and 5 in the last 2 months. In the past year since I was hired, I have 8 months of billable work which is actually slightly higher than the other Analysts I joined with. Should I keep collecting paychecks and hoping for projects, or is this a serious issue that should prompt an exit strategy?
tipping culture: i never know what other people are doing. For $20ish cocktails and/shots at a bar, do people tip $1-2 per drink or 15-20% the price of each drinks?
Hi guys...Can anyone pls refer me for the position of UX/UI Designer at Robert Bosch ...there is this opening I want to apply for...Thanks in advance:)
Anyone familiar with Bluestar bioadvisors ? Type of work? Culture? How highly regarded in industry? Thx
Is Premium Processing stopped right now for H1B transfers? Might have to defer the job hunting if PP can’t be done as switching on acknowledgement seems a bad idea in current scenario.
Project estimated to take 5 hours took me 8. What do I do re billing? Partner I never worked for before.
Trying to figure out how to manage health issues and work balance. I just recently found out I might have herpes (waiting for the test results to come back) and I have been very and feeling like my life is over especially because it came from being cheated on and struggling with prioritizing my bandwidth and not knowing how to communicate it with my team. Due to stigmas around something as common as herpes I cannot comfortably share that with my team.
People always say sue the company or owner. Is it that easy to sue someone? Especially around employment when people are getting laid off due to Covid. I think Deloitte or any big consulting firm it’s not easy to sue them, they are well protected
Deloitte’s Diversity & Inclusion group hosted Nicole Hannah-Jones today and it was a goddamn breath of fresh air to hear her speak candidly. Even called the firm out in some places. If you haven’t seen her NYT 1619 project, educate yourselves https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/08/14/magazine/1619-america-slavery.html
Ewr to sfo used miles for business. Flight delayed 3 hours until midnight, aircraft swap to recliners with no TVs, no meal service. Fair to ask for miles back? I paid for lie flat
I didn’t list current job on background report. Will it pop up via Sterling? I am currently in between jobs (not at Google) and took a quick side job as a secretary. It’s not relevant to my new role at all and i forgot to include it in my background report. Would this be uncovered and grounds for revoked offer? Only worked for a couple months.
CAIA or CMT? I do institutional sales for an asset manager. Am graduating in the fall with an MBA from a top 40 school. Would like a designation but dont want to do the CFA. Between the CAIA and CMT: which one is more applicable to asset management, and better status/recognition? appreciate any insight
I don’t own a car as I don’t need it on a daily basis and where I leave there is not a big need for it. I normally rent a car 2-4 days a month on the weekends which is much cheaper. My credit cards provide me with insurance for damage on the car but not for liability, I was thinking that getting a non-owners insurance would be better/cheaper than pay one at the rental Company every time. Any advice on this? Is it worth it? Any non-owner insurance recommendations? Thanks!!
It seems that a lot of women in accounting struggle with finding a relationship in the middle of their career. I’m finding myself to be in the same boat, and am thinking about seeing a therapist to learn to be okay to be alone. I don’t want to use dating apps as it feels forced, and I know I am craving a man to fill up my time and that’s not the way to go. Covid is not helping. Relatable?
Best books to read about strategy consulting?
I’ve recently started freelancing/consulting as a side hustle. Currently I’m being paid as an individual. My question is are there any benefits for tax or legalities that I would benefit from by creating an LLC?
Why a company offers me a salary higher than my desired one (filled in the application) 10k (including a signing bonus) ?
Moving from big4 to core strategy firm (read MBB). Have 2 months before I join the new firm. Wondering what I can do to prepare myself, are there any courses, books that would help me gain some skills. I have mostly done PMO, tech implementations kind of work so far. Don't want to leave any stone unturned and want to make it work.
My fabulous legal assistant is leaving at the end of the year to focus on her mayoral campaign. I live in a very rural area & there are no legal assistants around. Everyone applying have just worked at hospital as assistants. I don’t have time to hold their hand. I need someone running from the start. My friend moved back to the area and she is interested in becoming a paralegal. Any tips/suggestions on what sites, online education, etc to refer her to. I’m at the point of hiring a virtual asst.
My ~60 person group at my firm has only 5 women in it. Is there any excuse at all for this? Every project I’m on feels like the old boys club
