If you want better brand and comp, go for B4. I am an ex-KPMGer and KPMG is a decent firm especially in Tax.
I have to believe your training, experience, exposure to complicated/new things would be greatly increased with a switch to KPMG. I’m sure BDO is fine, but large multinationals with complex problems tend to gravitate towards B4.
Do it! I used to be at BDO...best decision i ever made to go to EY a year ago. I had big, public clients at BDO but it doesn't compare at all to the clients and work i deal with now at EY

Come to Deloitte, we have an amazing International Tax group. I sit next to them and they’re honestly more chill and friendly than my group
Can refer and split referral bonuses :)
Rising Star
Do it. Probably worth the pay bump and will increase exit ops. If you’re in BDO tax you’re probably already doing similar hours unless you have really strong relationship here and strong chances for advancement.
BDO just isn’t the same with the big 4. Better exit opportunities from KPMG. Which region are you from?

jk jk, KPMG is a great firm
Come to pwc. DM me for referral
Get to know the practice leader you’d be working under - their management style, the culture they want for their group, what they value at performance review and promotion decision time.
I’ve done time at both firms. My observation is that KPMG is the most decentralized of the B4. It’s almost like they don’t have an HR Department. (And this is why they sometimes get into trouble.) As a result, the practice leaders are all kings of their own little kingdoms. If you have someone good to work for, you’ll have a great experience. If you have someone whose management style could, uhh, use some improvement, you may have a shite experience and there won’t be much you can do about it other than leave.
I’m at KPMG international and our group is awesome. DM for referral
