What’s the difference in comp and is the chill one adequate for your lifestyle? That’s how I’d choose.

Dealing with the same decision. Currently I’m 100% WFM for the foreseeable future in a software dev role at a bank. I have an offer on the table to go with a big defense contractor for $40k more but hybrid. 2 days a week in office. “In office” means a 3 hour commute one way. Not sure what to do.

I would not consider working for 1 of the big 4 banks a 9-5 job you’ll end up working before 9am and after 5pm. I’ve worked for 2 of the big 4 banks worked outside the 9-5.

Hi ladies! Need some advice on what to do here: For context: I live in Texas and work from home. I put in a request with my apartment to fix the ongoing air issues in my master bedroom. The maintenance guy showed up without a mask. When I asked if he could please put on a mask, he left, returned and stated that they are still waiting on masks and isn’t sure of when they’ll be getting them. (Cont. in comments)

Any thoughts on praying in the office? I’m in the London office and because of some confident bothers, we were able to use conference rooms to pray. Now in my new firm, I’m the only Muslim and so when I do go in, find it hard to find a place. I don’t want to announce it and make a big deal, just want to pray quietly, otherwise I’d have to save my salah for home. WFH has changed this in such a good way but wanted to see if anyone has similar experience or tips?

Do you think post-covid that companies will ever keep their tech employees in NYC? I’m a software engineer for a financial company and already am probably one of the last people to RTO if/when that happens. Kinda bummed bc I’m a new hire and I never even got to move there... should I lower my expectations?
