Thoughts on the Bonnie Christine Surface design immersion course? Has anyone here done this before and did you feel it was worth it? I would prefer to take a traditional art/design school course in NYC but everything is $$$ and requires enrolling in a degree program (already have a GD degree but want to hone in on surface design). Other suggestions welcome!

I have a great opportunity to work for an 8(a) making double my current salary. The opportunity could really launch my career in a direction that I want. Has anyone moved from a large consulting firm to an 8(a)? Pros? Cons? I know the benefits aren’t the same but I’m not too concerned about that.

I’ve been activity looking for new paralegal roles but my last position was working in the public sector. Some have told me that it’s a pro, others have said that it’s a con. I’m largely applying for positions in the private sector now, and I’ve found that I don’t have many of the entry level skills like e-filing that employers expect. Is there any alternative to taking on a role that is completely entry-level to gain those?

Hello! I’m a recently graduated MSc Criminology student looking for work. I don’t know where to start or what I’m even looking for, but I’m generally interested in criminology, cyber security (no coding experience) & doing research. I’m very social and friendly and enjoy working with people, would also like hybrid work so I can work from home at times.. Any tips as to which roles I should look for? Any specific companies I should look into? (Preferably UK based, but open to most of EU)

So glad I found this group! I’ve hopped through 3 jobs since graduating 2 years ago. They all start out great- I ace interviews, flourish creatively, and get super positive feedback from managers. Few months in, my interest begins to wane. Productivity dies off, and engagement in my work falls of the cliff. My work suffers and I end up quitting because I hate myself for not showing up when people are counting on me. Any advice?

Hi Guys. I have a second round interview with the Director of Marketing and an IT Business Analyst. This is for a web designer position. Already answered all basic interview questions in the first round. What can I expect?

I currently work on a B2B (SaaS) product that has never ending things to be fixing and building which overall is great but the company isn’t doing that well and I feel really burnt out from being the only designer with no help. I’ve been thinking of leaving and many job openings are in more B2C spaces.

For those of you who work in UX/product design for e-commerce or B2C companies, do you find you have enough variety in your work to keep you engaged daily and do you like it?
