It’s a fine small suv, but I don’t understand why ford put the bronco name on it.
Expensive Escape
What SUVs do you like for the price point?
-Mazda CX-5. I have a 2014 and I haven’t done any work to it. Just replaced the battery. I have close to 100,000 miles on it. You’re probably somewhere in the $30,000 - 40,000 range depending on the trim.
-Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude. I had a 2018 not too long ago I had to sell it because I was moving to a city. Never had any issues with it, although Chrysler isn’t known as a reliable car brand but I think that’s changing. The altitude package is the best bang for your buck in my opinion and it’s sexy. Black rims, sunroof, and half leather interior. When I bought in 2018 my out the door price was 40K. I don’t know if you can get that anymore but it was a good deal. MSRP was probably 44k. Jeep runs promotions every once in a while and I would keep my eye on some customer cash for the jeep grand Cherokee. I’m noticing out of all car dealerships, Jeep has the most supply in their parking lots.
Check out Mazda’s new CX-50. It’s their “off road” oriented CX-5 stablemate. Same engine, more ground clearance, some more tech goodies. Could be an interesting alternative to the bronco sport, which has basically the same relationship with the Escape.
Escape:Bronco Sport :: CX-5:CX-50.
There are a few initial impression reviews of the new Mazda on YouTube as of last week
