After I’ve maxed out Roth 401k 19,500, given these two options, is it better to contribute to the after tax 401k mega back door thing (where max is 57k) or contribute and max out a Roth IRA 6k?
Is my logic sound?: I’ve been allocating safer medium growth /medium dividend stocks in my Roth IRA given that it grows tax free.
Taxable brokerage is utilized for high growth (small & big tech.) where there is no dividend concern and can take advantage of tax harvesting should positions be sold at a loss

Great info in this bowl, want to see if I’ve synthesized it correctly...no matter what, the max I can contribute to a traditional 401(k) is $19k, full stop. If I do mega backdoor Roth 401(k)...ctd
Apologies if this is a silly question - New analyst here and trying to get a handle on my finances and retirement portfolio. I’m familiar with the rough sequence of saving being: 3-6 months HYSA, Company match 401k, Roth IRA, HSA, 401k max, personal brokerage (Pls correct me if i’m incorrect here). My question is: Are you expected to invest as much money as you can into each step before proceeding to the next, or do you allocate a portion of your paycheck to each of these steps simultaneously?
Should you always find your backdoor Roth IRA?
Advice needed: I am debt free. Have an option to take a mortgage, 2.5%, 30 years fixed, 400k. Take it? If yes, where to put money, given noone knows how big or when the correction will be?

First time backdoor Roth IRA club! A few questions
1. Can I do a backdoor even if my income does not exceed $129,000? I will be close (and may go over based on bonuses) but I like to invest early in the year. Can I do a backdoor now and will I see any reprocussions if I don’t hit $129k MAGI?
2. Do I have to fill out the 8606 now, or when I do my 2022 taxes?
3. Can I deposit money into the traditional IRA with my standard bank account?
4. Anything that I am forgetting?
