I think it can potentially help you communicate with junior staff with analytics backgrounds. I have a STEM background but currently am on the project management team on a large project and frequently get called in to bridge the gap between the analysis and the client or more senior managers w/o STEM backgrounds.
I don't think it will help you get a raise/promo the way an MBA can but it never hurts to learn and can expand the types of projects you can get staffed on.
From a career perspective, if you're senior-2 and above, it really won't matter. Unless you want to change a career track.
From a skill set perspective, learning newer things always helps.
Those are also two pretty different degrees. I imagine the analytics degree would be more immediately useful
If someone else is paying go for it!
