Depreciation is getting a little better for Zenith but historically it wasn’t great. If you buy at a discount, you won’t lose your shirt if you end up deciding to sell. Don’t let this bug you too much.

This is a great watch. Some people say it looks like the Royal oak, and it does, but it’s actually derived from old Zenith case designs that came out before the Royal oak. I dunno. I like it and I think it stands on its own. The swappable straps are super convenient, and the 10 second subdial is, I think, pretty neat.

like

Awesome. Sounds like a buy with your explanation. Thank you!!!

Don’t buy a watch for resale value.

Zenith is a great brand but that subdial is psychotic. It tracks every 10 seconds, not a minute

like

Still

I really like the new Defy Skyline and think the 10 second dial is pretty cool, albeit not practical. Also, very much disagree with people who say it’s a Royal Oak homage. It clearly follows Zenith’s design language with the previous defy generation and the defy from 1969.

like

It’s less about checking time, it’s if you want something moving that fast on your wrist - nothing wrong with it, but it’s not for everyone

Most Zenith depreciates a lot, so they are not really good for re-sale, but if you buy pre-owned, there is a lot of value. The skyline is a handsome watch, the integrated bracelet, the dial…there is a lot to like. But I think some will say it’s too much like a RO.

I work in the Dental field in greater Austin area of Texas. I’ve been an assistant for two years and just got promoted to Office Manager of a small private practice. Currently no health or retirement benefits are offered. What would be a good hourly wage for me?

Hi All,
I've received a draft OL from Jio and was told I'll be receiving the Official OL in 3 to 4 days. Is there a possibility the company would reject the offer as I haven't received it yet and when spoke with hr, was told it is still pending for approval.

Any AD recommendations in the DC area? New and wanted to start building a relationship

Ok. So I have a Speedmaster Mk ii that I LOVE, but I noticed last week that the chrono hand is stuck at about a half second off zero. It’s a bit outside of warranty, and Omega said I’d need to send it in and wait 8-10 weeks just to receive an estimate for a cost and time to fix it. I’ve only worn it maybe 30 times since buying it. I’m considering:
1. Bite the bullet and send it to Omega.
2. Ask a local luxury watch repair shop to do it.
3. Do nothing since it works fine otherwise.
Thoughts?

Rolex ADs to avoid in dfw? I’m just starting out probably won’t get into Rolex until maybe a year or 2 but I want to start building relationships with an AD or 2. Maybe buy some of my starter watches so it counts as purchase. Maybe this is the wrong approach idk but I don’t want to drive to ever single AD if some won’t even give me a chance because I’m starting out. Any advice on who to avoid?

Need help deciding. I'm between the Breitling (42mm) and Tag as Rolex is being obnoxious about letting me order the DJ 41 two tone. The Breitling is gorgeous while the Monaco is sporty and classic.

Ps: I have seen the pinned post list, but Rolex seems to dominate in my target price range and I am personally not a big fan of Rolex because it's too "loud" and their looks just scream "old white dude" to me. idk.
