You CAN be that leader that people want to work with. 1st, self assessment is required. Be honest: As a leader, have you engaged in/accepted Attribution Bias with a dash of gender &/or race bias? (See the pic) This is something we all need to be aware of as we lead our teams, provide performance feedback, & model the behaviors we'd like to see more of on our teams. Be on the lookout for Attribution Bias in yourself & on your team. It's a hindrance to creating a high-performing, inclusive culture.
Hey Nurses!! I’m starting a weekly podcast where I (a nurse) have long form conversations with other nurses. I don’t want the podcast to feel like a formal interview, but I down to earth, comfortable conversation. I’m looking for 10 nurses who’d like their voice to be heard! I want to talk about the problems in nursing, the solutions, stories, culture, what you want other nurses to know, everything. I’d love to talk with ALL TYPES of nurses! Message me if you are interested.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I am on a pip and interviewing. I am getting interviews at the firms I want. But I really don’t care any more. I may simply be burnt out. I do need to land another offer but I can afford to take 3-4 months off. I used to love consulting but current firm culture is shit.

My company recently cooperated with authorities in an investigation by turning over a bunch of user data, including facial recognition files. I don't have any details, obviously, but I'm still having mixed feelings about this. They definitely have information now about way more people not involved in the case vs. people actually involved. I know they'll probably just focus on the people they need to focus on, but we work so hard to keep that information secure and I guess I'm just not convinced it's as secure now as it was. Am I overthinking this?

Agencies are a strange place. From the outside they are a place where everyone wants to get in. From the inside they are a place where everyone wants to get out.
There are tons of articles out there about co-workers judging you based on the size of your engagement ring. Any truth to this? Does age/title also play a roll? Tell me your stories!
I still don't get how hospitals recruited retired nurses back to the floor. I get that we needed more support but how is bringing at-risk people in helpful?
It is common practice at my small firm by two main partners to fly through transactions for clients regardless of potential conflicts (for the company) or issues that may arise. It is often chaotic and has led to lawsuits being filed by investors against the clients. I know this is expected from time to time but I feel like I’m not getting the proper exposure to doing deals the right way. Would it be better at a larger firm or is this common anywhere? Mostly deal with microcap companies.
My law firm does good lawyering but is chaotic af. We have no admin, no central trial calendar, and are using a billing system that requires handwritten corrections. Anyone been in a similar spot and managed to thrive? I’m not really eager to move firms, just survive and maybe even steer the growing business in a more structured direction.
Deloitte USI ke bowl me kisi bandi ne apni new shadi ka RR chhapa hai. Like, uske sasural vale usko wfh karne ke lie bol rahe hai and office nahi jaane de rahe. Bas itne fadde me logo ne comments me iska talaak, pati ko darinda or saas sasur ko jail karva di. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How do I ask for salary readjustment ? I joined last year and I was given at least 20k below the people who joined in August - September onwards. With the Market being hot during that time the candidates had the leverage. I got good reviews in all the cycles with multiple citations from different people. I want my salary readjusted to the current rate they are offering in the market before the end of year increases. Deloitte PwC EY KPMG
A strange thing happened today. A recruiter from TCS called me and asked if I am interested in a job opportunity. I said yes and he asked me my last date and the offer that I already have since my lwd in my current company is just 1 week away. I told him that I have an offer of 15L fixed and 2L variable. He abruptly cut the call telling me they don't have the budget. I was surprised to see TCS saying they don't have a budget for a role.
