Hey everyone! I'm going into the third week of my tax internship at KPMG. It's been great so far but I have this gnawing feeling that I'm not good enough. How should I manage this feeling? So far I've worked on two different client engagements doing workpaper roll forwards and clearing client review notes. I've learned a ton so far but I'm very much an anxious perfectionist and don't want to let my teams down.

Feeling super low. I got an offer for a PM role with Capital One that I was so excited about. After sending a negotiation letter however, the team then WITHDRAWS my offer saying I’m no longer a good fit . I was respectful and only asked for things that my existing org offered, and made it clear I was happy to adjust if not feasible. I’m beyond disappointed and borderline depressed. It’s been a long job search and this feels awful
Do VP of sales roles seriously make $350k+?
Lol the expected stock growth that they bake into their quoted offers is the dumbest thing
I just walked away from this exact same experience with AWS. Spent months interviewing for an L7, they came back with and L6 offer and TC of $200k — I make more than that now. Had to politely decline the role but my experience overall was so bad, including multiple interview No-shows, constant ghosting from recruiter and general toxic tone. I’m glad I turned it down. Good luck OP, keep us posted.
If you're inclined to take l6, negotiate the package to at least $315k. It's definitely possible. Someone posted last week that they got $305K for the same role
Amazon had a good way of sensing what role you will succeed in.
L7 is a really senior role. There are non-equity partners from Big4 who join as junior L7s, so there you go.
Negotiate TC. High 300s not doable for L6 IMO.

I think your YOE would define how far you can negotiate

Base is pretty set, not a lot of room for movement. As far as negotiation, you should be able to squeeze a little more RSU out if you have a competing offer (or can play off like you do).
Think 5-7% TC increase from current offer. You may be able to get more, but the recruiter would need a solid reason why - they would then take that and present it to the compensation board to see if they can go into exception for your offer.

YOE?
I think TC 350 definitely doable to them for you
