Meh. As a female minority hire I am just over this whole thing. You guys do so much to get us in but absolutely nothing to actually help us integrate or be successful. And no this isn’t an endorsement for more inclusivity townhalls
Who all qualify in female minority?
This is why I keep saying we should implement some type of blockchain technology that gives every candidate a unique identifier. Remove the sex/gender, race out of the equation and only interview those who actually meet the requirements.
I like the idea but maybe after we fix systemic racism and ensure a level playing field for every individual to set themselves up for success

Have some foresight here, and don't get caught on the wrong (yes, wrong) side of a culture war.
First, do you want to be known as the guy who sued his way into a job? Your lawsuit will be a matter of public record. And, beyond that, do you want to be known as the guy who sued a company for wanting to do better on gender and minority balance but was just sloppy in how they said so? There is a bigger picture here -- and the story isn't over anyway! You may yet get a positive reply to your last message....

Tell them you identify as a female minority and make sure you have your pronouns up as well.
Seeing this makes me feel like I’m the token hire lol. I’m a female minority and I never thought I deserve this job. Maybe I’m here for the diversity numbers lol
I was told many jobs ago that I was hired because I knew Spanish 🙄.

Yeah definitely not allowed to say that per EEOC guidelines. They can say “women and minorities are encouraged to apply” but cannot say that they’ll only hire those groups.

Pretty sure this was posted before and the response was that they have hiring for everyone, but this was a specific subset program for women/minorities. Anyone not a women/minority still had opportunities to apply. Which, people may still have issues with, but it’s not as extreme as this post, which is clearly intended just to rile people up.

Seriously, we have to hire females. Preferably ones of colour. I get the females part, they make up more than 50% of the population. But 90% is also white... Not sure where to get the color from

I heard this exact message from 5 PE / VC firms while recruiting during my MBA. I understand the reasons / rationale, but still very frustrating to hear that they won’t engage with you because of race / gender appearances.
