Hi fellow g/x-ooglers , I have an interview for a product tech manager in google in upcoming weeks. I come from data science/BI background at Looking at job careers description it seemed like a mix of product and business intelligence role because there was a little mention of web tech. There’s a focus of building data product which I do at Amazon. HR material says it is a technical solutions consultant role, lot of data structures, web technologies. Is my profile relevant? How should I prepare Google

Follow these rules and you won’t be upset:
10 Commandments of Watch Buying:
1. Only purchase new
2. From a reputable source with full box, booklets and warranty card, or an AD
3. After seeing and trying the exact watch on in person (for size, comfort)
4. If it is a timeless design
5. If it will maintain a large portion of its value
6. It is versatile and will be worn frequently
7. It is for a significant event, occasion, or achievement (don’t buy just to buy, or because it’s a “good deal”)
8. It is not too similar to an existing watch in the collection
9. It matches your current lifestyle
10. There are no specific design flaws or elements that will reduce the joy of wearing the watch

I have like ten vintage watches and I wish I didn’t...they’re amazing to look at, but they’re just not practical for daily use. They either have acrylic crystals, or questionable water resistance, or fickle movements, or fragile tritium. They’re more hassle than they’re worth. I had my “vintage phase” and now I value “hassle-free ownership”, which is why Rolex is what appeals the most to me.
Get an Omega for $5K. Way better than a Tag in terms of value and style.

What’s the reference number of this bad boy? It’s a cool version of the Aquaracer; I’d just be concerned about all the extra gadgetry going on...looks like a push-button second time zone adjuster, which is cool in theory (just like the big date), but if those are both modules on a base generic movement, you’re likely to have issues after a year or two of consistent use. I’d also see if I could find a review on a forum or a website before diving in on it.
What’s your budget?
Probably up to $5k
I just bought a similar watch on crown and caliber for 4K
