ACN contractor here with great client feedback and was invited to interview to the Oracle Cloud CX team at Lv8. Is it reasonable to ask for a signing bonus or is that a faux pas ?
What’s the best post-MBA route in terms of comp, quality of life, and impact etc? I know that you can’t have all in one role (everything has pros and cons) but curious what others in this forum think?
How should I start a conversation with my boss about a promotion? What things should I bring up as evidence that I'm not only consistently hitting - but surpassing - my performance goals and targets?
As opposed to forcing layoffs, could a firm just request their employees to go on sabbatical for reduced pay?
Alright, let’s be dead honest. How many actual hours do you work per week? I’m talking sitting in front of your computer cranking something project related out or in meetings. Exclude ALL non work.
What are client-facing career paths for a non-MBA software engineer with 7 YoE? Something that doesn’t require buried in code 100% of the time.
I'm 40 with a top 30 MBA on the lower end of the salary spectrum (low 100s). Looking for ideas to get ahead. Would picking up certs in IT help? Should I apply for commercial practice at Big4?
For people who make the jump from USA to Europe, did you use the same resume you used in the US or did you adopt a more European style CV? Does this matter as much if applying to a multinational firm or in the Corporate Finance field? Thanks!

If you were looking at two offers from the same company, how much of a comp increase would you need to take a contractor position vs a full time employee position? Please disregard the employee benefits part (Health Ins, 401k contributions, etc).
Invied to interview with McKinsey's WashDC office. Does that indicate government work? Not a deal breaker, jw.
Question for the more seasoned consultants, these layoffs and overall downturn in our industry, is it an annual cycle? Or is this abnormally bad
Any one make an exit to Tesla and willing to chat? Exploring an opportunity there in finance and just want to get a sense of company culture, benefits and the Fremont area.
This is the multi-destination flight I’m about to book: BNA - MSP - SEA - LHR - MUC - KBP - DXB - HYD - LHR - JFK - BNA. Nashville to Seattle to Kiev to Hyderabad and back.
Well, our district found a COVID loophole and are exploiting it. They get to determine whether or not we are considered a “close contact” or not with a positive student. And because they told us to “never be within 6’ of a student for 15 minutes or longer” (in a tiny classroom with 28 JH students), they’re justifying that if we test positive “despite their efforts”, it’s on us, not the district, so they won’t cover any medical costs or give us the Covid days off. Talk about feeling expendable.
Advice. I have to work from home for 2 hours a few days a week due to distance learning. Afterwards I use my lunch to drive to the office. I work earlier on those days so I can be off for an hour to help my kids. I am constantly having to remind my boss, even though it is in their calendar. They knew I was off for the hour and they kept messaging me to do something someone else already did. They said "I don't care do it again." Remaining rant in comments
Hi All, found out this morning that my entire fam back home is covid infected. Does anyone have quick info on travel restrictions to India and returning to the US? I’m an Indian citizen on H-1B. Thanks much 🙏🏼
