I have one. Got it four years ago and it’s still holding up. It’s pretty beefy and I think could pass for an office bag.
I’m in the same boat, my timbuk2 has survived 4 years of flights and is still kicking. It’s also much better on your back than anything designed for style.
Not sure what timbuk2 comes in at but I just bought peak design everyday backpack from backcountry on sale for $196 vs usual $260

I had one years ago in school. Solid backpack. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing one now though. Imho they look way to casual for anyone in our Industry.

I just had a look at their website. They definitely have some more professional looking bags now. If the quality is still the same, it’s probably a good deal.
Love my timbuk2 backpack. However, I got it on amazon coz it’s way cheaper. Compare prices on amazon before you make your purchase
Thanks for the heads up. 30% off discount is still cheaper than amazon prices.
I don’t own one myself, but had researched them a lot. The quality is pretty legit. If you’re concerned about lifetime though, check out the B&R backpacks. I really like them. Clean lines and matches a office look (as much as a backpack can) better. And of course they have the lifetime warranty.
Loved my timbuk2 backpack. Got a small one that can only fit a 13 inch MacBook Air. Used it for my job pre-consulting for a year, stuffed it with my laptop and gym stuff, took it around the world for hike and it’s still in mint condition today. Still feels more comfy than my samsonite. Defo get one if you can find one suitable for work.
I used Timbuk2 uptown for 4 years before buying
Timbuk2 Command. Lasts longer it doesn’t look too casual and worth the money
Command seems a little large for an office backpack. Seems like a lot of extra space that you won’t be using.
It’s good for casual use. Would never wear it with anything more formal than jeans.
