Please help!! Having an offer from Cts for 12 lpa(11.5 F) in Kolkata. Another offer from Credit Suisse Pune 13.6 Lpa F. I want to understand whether I will get a project as per my tech stack in CTS. I am in favour of CTS as it's in Kolkata. My YOE - 3.6, Tech -Qlik, Sql. My main concern is proper technical exposure, I am slightly afraid that Credit Suisse might not put me into a technically challenging project Credit Suisse Cognizant

If I had a PhD I’d go medical. Or demand to be paid more as a writer b/c your team relies on you for med info. Either way, if your agency is exploiting that medical knowledge than you should be paid for it. Lord knows you put in the time and money to earn the degree, and [they’re] benefiting from your knowledge.
I believe you will make more money in the earlier stages (your starting salary will be higher in recognition of your PhD) of your career and throughout. Just not sure how much EVP creative directors command vs EVP medical strategists. I’m guessing creatives make more but you can also make an excellent living on the medical side. There are also less levels. One thing though, medical is never focused on only one brand. I believe you meant one task as in medical only and not medical and creative but I wanted to clarify. Good luck and you should be able to easily transition. TONS of positions out there for a medical strategist/medical director.
We have positions open across our network and would LOVE candidates who have already spent time on the creative side. To be honest when we hire medical people we’re always looking for those who are drawn to do support creative work. You’ve already been doing that. I’m sure you’ll succeed.
And here I thought HCP writers made more $$. Impressed that you got your PhD and I think that makes transitioning a definite option.
I made a similar switch and enjoy the medical role a lot more. Not sure how salary compares at higher levels though.
This thread is so interesting. I have a few clinical degrees and I'm headed back into brand strategy (which I did before 6 years of grad school) instead of focusing on the medical side. Am I doing this wrong?
