Vayner catches a lot of extra flack because people dislike Gary V and the way he promotes hustle culture.
If you take that bias out of the equation, you could certainly do worse in NYC. Going there as a creative is definitely risky because the creative output tends to be mediocre and occasionally downright bad. But as an account person, youll get to work on big brands, so it’s not the end of the world. There are talented people who you can learn from there if you wind up on the right team.
Tl;dr if you have a better option take it. If not, you’ll be okay if you spend a little time there as an account person.

I remember being ghosted on an interview after several communications with them ...I know that prob won’t help much but I didn’t know companies ghost people as well? Gave me pause on their levels of professionalism.
