I'm always in two minds between VOO and IVV. Irrespective, both are great for buy and hold.

Yeah I have about 30k to put that I was going to use to buy a home. My plan is just to stay in my apartment for another year to keep saving and investing. Then in 2022 purchasing my starter home.

VOO is probably the best for this purpose. However, since you'll absolutely need to take this amount out in 1 year, consider the bond funds too so you can retain your principal in the worst case we do have a market correction in 2021. Bonds should be safe till 2023, as the Feds plan to continue on the low interest rates till then.
I might be putting too many thoughts in your head but if I were in your situation I would consider a balanced index fund.

Does anyone have recommendations for classes or trainings that helped you gain greater expertise in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly sophisticated SaaS agreements? I came in-house with a biglaw litigation background and because of this feel lacking in competency compared to friends who came in house with transactional experience. Ditto to corporate governance. Would love some recommendations so that I can brush up in these areas and feel less like an imposter.

I have heard from friends working in different companies about Synechron. Employees working hours are very closely monitored at Synechron.

Employees have to spend 9 hours inside Office rather than Synechron premise.

Also, employees have some app installed in their virtual machines which tracks the duration for which they were logged in.

Is this true?Wanted to confirm from someone who are working with Synechron.

Guessing I should still leave the down payment in a HYSA (getting 3% right now)? Sucks to miss out on market returns, but I understand that conventional wisdom is not to invest money you'll need in the short term (within 3ish years). I'm definitely tempted to put a portion of that in VTI though...
