OP I don’t know how helpful I will be. I was so happy to finally wean. And felt more like my old self once I was no longer acting as someone’s personal cow. Trust me you’ll be happy soon enough
...most evenings so I went away for the weekend and we decided to wean completely. I was fine at first, but now I just feel so emotional and I’m wondering if I make the right choice. I know she will be fine, but maybe I’m not? Maybe it gets better?
It will get better. I felt sad also at first; I enjoyed nursing and having the time set aside for just the two of us. Look for something to fill that connection void - make it a habit to read a book together or sing a song or do something else when you’d typically be nursing!
I appreciate your input ladies! I am definitely ready to have my body back, but now that I’m "done” I’m already missing that time we spent together, especially morning snuggles in bed. I guess this gives us an opportunity to establish new routines where we once nursed.
Yea I felt the same. It’s partly hormonal I think, I definitely felt better once my body stabilized. We established a new routine in place of nursing and now I’m soooo happy to have my boobs back
