What location are you considering?

They do actually do do litigation work, but the % depends on the office. Will still mostly be claims (which I personally enjoy; less bureaucracy and red tape), but I'd say they'd average about 75% claims, 25% litigation, depending on the office.

Have worked counter to them. Pacing was slow, workproduct looked good, partner was nice. Staff seemed unremarkable. Only insurance work sounds grueling, but that’s a personal choice.

Had 3 interviews. One phone screen, a teams call, and an in person interview. It has been about 2 weeks since my last interview. I reached out a couple days after the third interview and they said they had one or two more interviews and would get back to me. It has now been two weeks. Should I be worried? Should I reach out again?

Guys. Need some advice. I’ve failed my pip recently at a big4. Couple questions (1) how does it work from here? (2) how can I extend my stay to find another role? (3) how public is it? Who will know I was fired vs I left?

Additional Posts in Fraud and Forensics

For the CFE, did you do anything in addition to the ACFE prep course? The course is just practice questions, so I’m wondering where I can actually learn the information first before that.

CBV vs CFF Vs CFE as additional professional designations to CPA pros and cons?

My current goal is to work in audit for a few years and then get a related forensics degree & the CFE then switch over to forensics at my firm. Any thoughts for how long I should be in audit before making the switch? Context: I really enjoy my job so far and am about to move to staff 2.

I am a CFE, but my primary role is accounting advisory. Are there ways that I can still continue to expand my practical knowledge about the forensic accounting profession (getting involved with the ACFE and other orgs, volunteering, etc.) without switching over to a forensic accounting role entirely?

I’d like to work for the FBI either as a Special Agent or Professional Staff as a Forensic Accountant. I am currently a Senior Forensic Accountant at a public accounting firm but we mainly handle commercial damage calculations, business valuations, and SOME investigations that one might think of as “was there fraud? We’re not sure, please Mr. Forensic Accountant can you take a look at our QBs?”
Question: is this experience preferable to the FBI? Or do they prefer the AML professionals? CPA + CFE

Hi all - I am looking for some advice and possible future options. I have associate/senior KPMG experience and moved to industry working in investment accounting. I have passed the CPA exam and am looking at getting the CFE. It seems like a lot of forensic/fraud positions are based in IT/programming or other computer based skills. Are there avenues in fraud/forensics that would be open to someone with my experience? If so, are there any skills/certs that I would need to be a desirable hire? TIA!

How did you all feel about Tony Jordan’s email? I personally thought it was one of the better communications we have received from the firm this week, I appreciate that he doesn’t fill the email with platitudes and addresses everyone. I’m also interested in how some of our office leaders are going to be facilitating sessions.
