Getting the best room in the Parsipanny Sheraton cause you check in late and there are no more regular rooms. I can host the morning stand up in here.
Why has this year been bad for consulting? Layoffs- lot of folks on bench-the economy hasn't really tanked compared to last few years- thoughts?
This has likely been asked before, but is it worth paying for a higher quality monitor or would a cheap monitor be enough to efficiently WFH for *possibly* another year? I’m hoping we can get back to normal office work eventually so I don’t want to spend a lot on a setup but I can’t work on just my laptop anymore
TFW you get upgraded from DFW to ORD…almost felt it's harder than the h1b lottery. Exec plat with AA and this is first time in the past 5 weeks…
It's been 4 years in consulting performing data analytics, I wish to consider options in some data analytic tech companies. Suggestions? Or Recommendations of a good company with data analytics role?
How do you get data about your employees? Are you going directly into your HR system? do you have a separate tool or do you go to your data team?
Any insights on freelancing in Nashville? Just moved here a few months ago for a gig but laid off in a massive RIF. A bit at a loss...
Starting at PwC in October- a few friends are going on a 7 day cruise Dec 30. Should I buy a ticket, or will the firm hate me for going on vacation right after New Years?

Looking to exit consulting. Currently an analyst in SF and I will be applying for roles in big tech (FB, Google, Square, etc). Since I have multiple areas of interest, is it okay to apply to multiple job positions at these firms since they are so large, or should I stick with only one or two roles?
Started in big law in April (haven’t even been in the office yet, other than during interviews). My group is extremely busy. We get large assignments with 1-day turnarounds during the workday, at night and on the weekends. I don’t think I have left my apt without my laptop since starting. I am constantly anxious about going anywhere/out to eat/making weekend plans. Any advice on setting boundaries in this wfh environment? I’ve noticed a pattern of fake deadlines. Any advice on dealing with this?
