Thoughts on working at RPA LA vs Possible LA?

I've worked at POSSIBLE for 4 years. To date, it's lived up to its people first mantra. Its leadership has been around average 7 years and make themselves available. I believe turn over is 1/3 of the industry standard, probably due to the healthy work/life balance and quality of people/talent (the reason I go to work every day). They send out a survey 1/quarter to ensure that they get feedback anonymously to evolve the culture. From a client standpoint, POSSIBLE LA has grown and is on an upward trajectory of growing. There are 4 core (and stable) accounts - Acura, AT&T, SCE and Microsoft - as well as a few smaller ones. Clients are 75% local, and have on average been around 5 years. They also get a client satisfaction survey 1/quarter and I believe the office is over an 8.5 on average. To the note on CDs at POSSIBLE, I have a good relationship and am probably biased, but think they're accessible and talented. A new ECD was hired last year to further revitalize the creative team and she's has the respect of that department. Creative does not just repurpose work here, there is production involved if that helps. I don't know much about RPA, I'm sure they have their strengths too. But POSSIBLE has integrity, grit and a solid, smart, supportive group of people no matter the level. The hiring process is rigorous to ensure that this is maintained. Hope that helps give you some clarity in your search. All the best to you.

Coming late to the party, work at RPA and know people from Possible. RPA provides stability without being that fun but Possible is not the fuuuuun you would think, they have Microsoft as a big client (boring) and at RPA Honda is the big client (boooring). Big difference, RPA has way more flexibility than Possible. They're kinda old school saying that 'work from home' is not even a real term. Yeah right!

Wait, sorry if I’ve missed news, did Mullen lose Acura? Also, I’ve heard great things about RPA.

The sizes of the office are different too, if that matters to you. Possible is smaller. Try to meet with the people. I did informal interviews with both when I was starting in my career and didn't get great vibes from the CDs at possible. Overall, my gut says RPA over Possible

"Possible has digital" = Sadly, zero chances of producing something that's not coming from the traditional agency.

Have heard great things about the 9-5 lifestyle at RPA. Meh things about the work. (It’s a clock in, clock out place, if that’s your drift.)

I’ve heard Possible is a bit of a mess, doesn’t have the best reputation. RPA is solid if you want a boring but stable 9-5 as previously noted.

Creative side versus media side have very different opinions how they feel about RPA. Let's just say that one side doesn't have the same positive opinions as the other. I'd be very mindful about who you ask.

This has likely been asked before, but is it worth paying for a higher quality monitor or would a cheap monitor be enough to efficiently WFH for *possibly* another year? I’m hoping we can get back to normal office work eventually so I don’t want to spend a lot on a setup but I can’t work on just my laptop anymore

Has anyone explored options or successfully purchased / owned handguns while being on H1B. I have i140 approved and living in Phoenix. since GC is decades away, trying to see if there are easy options, which will not land me in trouble. It will be for shooting at ranges and self defense.

Read about downtown access points after 8pm. If I’m a resident, do I need to bring some proof showing I live in the area? My DL’s address is still my old out-of-state address.

Looking to exit consulting. Currently an analyst in SF and I will be applying for roles in big tech (FB, Google, Square, etc). Since I have multiple areas of interest, is it okay to apply to multiple job positions at these firms since they are so large, or should I stick with only one or two roles?

Started in big law in April (haven’t even been in the office yet, other than during interviews). My group is extremely busy. We get large assignments with 1-day turnarounds during the workday, at night and on the weekends. I don’t think I have left my apt without my laptop since starting. I am constantly anxious about going anywhere/out to eat/making weekend plans. Any advice on setting boundaries in this wfh environment? I’ve noticed a pattern of fake deadlines. Any advice on dealing with this?
