Looking to break into the broader healthcare industry from pharma consulting. Which non-pharma healthcare companies value pharma experience / don’t exclude it as part of healthcare experience? (Many companies want provider/payer experience). Targeting Senior Manager roles (5 YOE + MBA)
Planing on moving to NYC in the next 3 years with my husband. Been looking at potential jobs that I may be interested in for when the time comes and a lot of the ones I’m interested in says “big four experience preferred.” I work for a regional PA firm and wanted to see what everyone’s thoughts are. If I stay at my current job, I’ll be manager by the time I leave for NYC or should I make the jump to B4 soon? Does “B4 preferred” outweigh my chances even if I’m a manager when comes down to it?
I am interested in getting my SHRM-CP certification this year and I was wondering which study methods and materials worked best for those of you who passed the exam. Also, what are your roles in HR?!
Has anyone gone to work for United Airlines? If so, how has your experience been and was it an increase or decrease in pay/opportunity growth?
Happy and proud to be one of Donald Trump's people as well! Bless him, bless us all, and may God bless the United States!
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
Any firms that have made the "work from home" decision yet? We've been getting preparation notices for weeks but not officially given the signal.
This country needs labor laws that actually protect workers is when time like this comes, average folks like us don't have to worry to sick about layoffs.
Have a little over 5 YOE & several manager level roles with experience in change management, SaaS, technology implementations, Salesforce, healthcare. Making $135k now - what roles can I look for with this experience / a pay bump? Would love to move into health/life sciences tech (or any tech company) & looking into both FAANG-type roles and smaller startups. Any advice on specific companies / roles to look into?
I am on H1b visa and so is my wife. My visa stamp is expired, and if I go on H4 Ead and want to visit my country, how does coming back to US works? Need stamping or something with Ead?
Has anyone taken the PHR exam lately? What was the best test prep IYO? Online on demand , online live classes? Are the practice exams worth the cost?
How long are winter breaks in business school?
Bonus: - 7% Recent CPI reports: 6-7% inflation I directly sourced and did 80% of the legwork to get the partners a $26mm new account (where we had previously been fired in 2020) with a potential $9mm contract extension in 1Q21. Time to lateral back to financial advisory. Happy Thursday!
Anyone in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) space? I am AEM architect and looking for change. Open for referral, if your team/company is hiring for AEM architect/Lead? Thanks
My husband got hurt and can’t work for 6 months. He’s a 1099 contractor so has no benefits or anything to supplement income. I never even thought about this but is there insurance you can buy in the future in case something like this happens? Like disability for 1099 workers?
Hi all, I’m planning to take my first exam in NY. I’m hesitating to take it 1-2 days right before the day of my flight (going on PTO) is it risky ? I know some people got their seat cancelled by Prometric. What are your thoughts ? Thanks
