I’ve been an oracle consultant for almost a decade, feels like Anaplan, Blackline, OneStream, Adaptive Insights and others are coming up faster with a better solution than Oracle innovation can keep up. Plus the overall training and certification program at Oracle is definitely not even close to competition. Is it time to quit Oracle?

Just had an amazing interview but why does it take 3 weeks for a decision then another month for the background check 😭
It sucks because I’m unemployed and realistically can’t wait that long. If I’m offered another job before then I’ll have to accept it.

Should I apply for a job KPMG forensics(associate level) after 2 years audit experience? Have CPA but not CFE. Thoughts?
If anyone wants to study for the CFE but doesn’t want to pay the full price for the study materials and would be interested to split it, please DM me
Tips on studying for the CFE?
Getting ready to study for the CAMS exam. Do I need anything extra besides just studying the study guide and practice exam over and over. I’ve read online about people using AML assassin; is it worth it?
Thoughts on working at MDD?
I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
Anyone work at PwC in forensic accounting or fraud investigation type roles? How does someone make connections in that area. Would love to offer to help out on even mundane task to build experience and earn hours for the CFE exam.

Has anyone worked in the disaster recovery Space and went directly into fraud? I’ve worked on disaster recovery projects as a Quality Assurance Analyst. Essentially we make sure no fraud is occurring. I haven’t had any luck finding a remote fraud role without my applications getting denied. I’ve been thinking about getting my CFE, as I’m sure that might help.
Rising audit senior thinking of pivoting to forensics. Not sure if I want to stay at EY, but should I wait to get any forensics certification until I make the switch? Also, is it better to have a CFE vs. CFF? I already have my CPA

We have drifted so far from actual Forensics it’s wild that’s our service line title. We are consulting wannabe’s chasing anything regardless of experience or talent.
Not sure I see it that way. Consulting is system implementation, strategy overhauls, sector analysis - a whole other ball of wax. Forensic is investigations, claims & disputes, compliance program build outs, and all the tech needed for the projects.
It’s probably going to be some segment about selling managed services that we all tune out …
A lot of time on new Sanctions opportunities and how we should be getting involved, update on YE reviews, and some fluff about outstanding performers and projects.
Nailed it on this haha
I’d appreciate leadership to hone in on areas that everyone is hoping to get more insights on, things like the growth of the practice, retention issues, compensation, how are we going to address everyone being burned out by long hours and juggling between multiple projects, etc. If it is straight up boilerplate then I think this will honestly backfire at the practice and will only trigger a bigger wave of resignations given how attractive the job markets for employees are these days.
Best I can do is a wellness discussion.
I’m PrOuD To WoRK aT EY. Please share on social media.
I think it’s stands for Next Wave of Resignation
