Did you move to a new agency? If so you should have had the discussion around bonus in your compensation conversation. That said, bonuses are typically discretionary and most places truly do not give them. For most of my career I never got them.
The concern is that you didn’t ask about bonuses before you signed up in the first place.
And SC1, creatives most certainly do get bonuses. You might not be senior enough, or you might not be in the top x%, but it happens frequently
First world account people problems. Creatives NEVER get bonuses, especially in comparison to the floor salesmen. That said, just ask somebody who would know and be honest in your inquiry.
Bonuses are not typical at your level.
No way it’s in your contract nor is it guaranteed.
Sounds like you’ve had people take care of you though. This must just be a tougher year for the agency
"No bonus this year. But here's a totebag and for all your 60hour weeks and weekends! You deserve it."
They never let my manager tell me about the bonuses it was only through senior leadership since “not everyone” received one. But it makes me feel like I’m no longer as competitive or valued not to receive one despite a promotion and raise (barely anything). Maybe I’m being paranoid.
Ask whomever gave them to you before, maybe?
The only thing I know about bonuses is that once they disappear, like any other benefit, they are gone for good.
They “don’t give bonuses” here either
