Throwing this out there - I've transitioned into being a client running IMO/SMO and it's 1000x better. You kickstart the value creation initiatives mapped out with corp dev and do the cool initial brainstorming, then hand it off when execution gets heavy, work very closely with BU GMs to plan product integration roadmaps and commercial integration, work with G+A leads on Day 1/2 op models, then fling all the garbage work, PMO, status reporting to consultants. 10/10 recommended becoming a client.

Can anyone give me an example of technical requirements for an implementation project? It's not the first time I'm doing an implementation but I have never had to do the tech requirements so I'm wondering if they are even applicable for a packaged solution...

How should I talk to a new associate on my team (4 mos.) about critical issues including 1) spending too much time on a single project; 2) not meeting expectations in terms of number of billable hours; 3) botching easy procedural issues? This person has significant skills and writes very well. I've seen CDD reports and folks on my teams try to get creative with R&D, product, CX, type synergies. These are either difficult to implement, or the cost to achieve is so high it basically becomes a dis-synergy through margin contraction.
