Have seen them on indeed. Couldn’t get over how strange the name is.

Interviewed with them a couple years back when I was at Deloitte. People were nice and the process was generally good. Clients were (are?) all non profits which could be problematic for exit ops if you’re not interested in that space long term

Hello! I have been in the retail/beverage/hospitality industry for 5+ years and currently a retail manager for 2+ years. I am at a time where I want to change careers for a more creative role such as design whether graphic design or video/animation industry. However, I have little to zero experience.

Do any of you have advice on building a resume to land design positions?

Hi all!
Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.

I have looked into getting SHRM certification. But should I go back to school and get my masters in Hr?

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!

After practicing law for 8 years, I’m ready to exit the practice altogether. I’ve wanted to do it for years, but never had the guts and, as we know, golden handcuffs are real. I’m a creative (screenwriter/director/graphic designer-dabbler), but have no clue what job I can do to make money while pursuing my passions. Is there a creative corporate role that can leverage legal experience (besides consulting)? No clue where to start. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

After your last long term relationship ended. What helped you move past?

A good way to tie The Canterbury Tales to today: Before my seniors read “The Wife of Bath’s Tale,” I had them conduct a survey asking the question “What do women desire the most?” They had to record responses from males and females above and below the age of 25, and then write a reflection about their findings. They were so surprised to see that we still want the same things in our romantic partners!

However the wharf area can get dangerous what should I do. Wait it out?

Homeowners- how did you decide what neighborhood to buy in? I love the Arlington area (rosslyn thru ballston), but my husband would rather have more of the city experience. I’m open to seeing other neighbors but this is my wishlist:
- 1. clean, safe neighborhood - 2. Neighborhood with trees and decent shot at parking (and cheaper than Georgetown $14 parking). - 3. Cute & more upscale shops and restaurants. Do any DC neighborhoods fit this?
