This one is especially true for emerging markets: passengers who rush down the isle when the plane comes to a halt to win the extra 2/3 seat rows in front of them and therefore get off the plane faster (pushing and squeezing themselves in between the remaining passengers in front of them who by then already started standing up) - drives me bananas !!!
This is very big in India, and KSA.
People listening to videos/music on their phone without earphones, using my seat to help them stand up, the guy who puts his feet on the wall of the bulkhead with his shoes on, people who don’t keep their arms in their own space and keep bumping me, and pushy 1K’s crowding the pre-board area before they get called and blocking the way for the 4 groups that get on before them, and people rushing down the aisle ahead of their row to get off the plane. As I write this, I realize I travel too much...
At home and at the office I keep my feet on another chair, a table, or a footrest. Comfort and better blood circulation is more important to me than people riding their high horses. And cleanliness? Since when are planes clean?
People who don't know the precheck rules
Gotta love the new scanners in Amsterdam for solving this. Wish they had them in the other side too!
Children
Unmanaged kids are annoying. I will manage them for you.
Trying to get into a bathroom stall with my suitcase
Mine is overly sensitive auto flush toilets!! Ugh
Post it notes work great over the sensor.
Flight attendant announcements trying to sell credit cards
PwC3 that's just hurtful to people who like potatoes
People who don’t understand escalator etiquette
I like the MSP airport that has guidelines on the moving sidewalks. Stand right walk left
People who put their bags in the rows ahead of their actual seat; which results in now overhead bin space near my seat
Pwc18 for the win. Great reminder of the reference.
Hotel rooms with shitty irons and no coffee machine
Man I was staying at a JW once... got upgraded to a suite... I have a very rigid morning routine that entails 3 cups of coffee as I steam or iron my suit pants and iron my shirt.
I woke up, went to make a cup of coffee... and found that there was a single cup coffee maker but no pods. I was a bit frustrated that I had to leave my room to get the coffee but I sucked it up.
When I got back to my room I filled up the iron with water... pulled out a wash clothes to use to run a bunch of steam through to clean out the ports so that I did not mess up my shirt or slacks... which has happened more times than I can count... and then I went to iron my shirt.
As I began to iron the iron began leaking all over the shirt.
I was pretty irritated... I called the front desk and after 25 minutes I got the replacement iron. I walked through the same process... add water, run steam through it to make sure it does not mess up my shirt... then as I began to iron... I found the same issue, the thing leaked all over my shirt.
I was very frustrated and broke the iron... I beat it over the edge of the marble counter until all that was left in my hand was the handle and cord (still plugged in). Then I called the front desk to explain that I would need yet another iron and that the one they sent me was in about 300 pieces in the melted garbage can in my bathroom (I neglected to let it cool off before disposing of it).
I thought they might charge me but To my delight, when I got back from work that night all of my shirts were pressed and a brand new iron still in the box was waiting in my room.

The sensors used on sinks to turn on water in the terminal restrooms don’t work well (if at all) and when they do work, the water is always cold
That my return home flight is inevitably delayed.
I usually have to try 3 at Newark before I get that sweet sweet water.
Gate lice
Didn't even realize there was a name for them. People in Zone 8 who line up right in front of the Priority lane 20 minutes before boarding starts infuriate me.
This may be shallow. But sitting next to really overweight people on flights
Not shallow... I have had some very tight flights stuck next to folks much larger than me
Passengers sitting behind me that pull on the back of my seat to assist them as they stand up or sit down. Having your seat tipped backward without warning gives the uncomfortable feeling that you’re falling. Then you suddenly spring forward again when the passenger behind you releases their grasp on your seat. It’s evil
C8, specially when they also grab some of my hair along with the seat (female with long hair)
People who take f o r e v e r to get off the plane - especially when others have tight connections / want to go home
Literally just witnessed that as well. 2 hour delay and acts like we’ve got the rest of the night to mess around
Armrest hogs, people that stink, armrest hogs that stink, food that stinks, stank ass feet, people resting their feet on chairs on front of them, basically just nasty ass people.
What about people who decide to take off their shoes? And sometimes socks? Yikes.
People that are under six feet putting their briefcase in the overhead bin. Love it when their feet don’t even touch the ground. Basic courtesy to the 30% of passengers with Diamond status on Delta flights to Atl.
+1 for the footstool!!!
People struggling to match the number and letter on their boarding pass to the number and letter above the seats. I had 2 people try to tell me that I was in their seat today...
People that don't respect the row order to get out of the plane
Row order only holds if people are ready to deboard
People who take too long getting their items on the belt through security check
That and people who block people movers by not walking when you’re in a hurry and act surprised that someone might need to move faster.
