Dallas is not Tier 1 LOL
Chicago or LA a Tier 2? Give me a break!
All tier 1 at BCG (all paid the same)
Only Tier 1 cities in US are NYC & SFO....other big cities are under Tier 2
Dallas is tier 3, Houston tier 2. Only tier 1 is NY/SFO
Tier 1 is Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, LA, DC. Tier 2 is Austin, Atlanta, Boston, San Diego, so on and so forth.
NYC & SF are tier 1+
I think the OP meant for salary. If so, NY, Boston, SF, LA im general. You know...high cost of living cities with hiring competition.
Same at deloitte, all paid the same...at least for undergrad and MBA hiring. Experienced hire is whatever you can negotiate
Dallas IS NOT TIER 1. Lol!!! Who told you that? Dallas is dirt cheap, and there is a reason it is cheap. You get what you pay. They don't have state income tax, so the salaries should be the lowest of all.
LA is def tier 1. The whole sf thing is a phenomenon over the past 5-10 years - tech bros and millennials lack broader perspective. California economy and world culture is still much more heavily weighted towards SoCal.
Agree with EY1- think the tier 2 cities would include those major cities like Atlanta, Dallas, Seattle, Miami. I would consider Chicago, Boston, and DC probably tier 1 though in addition to NY and SF
Philly philly
LA is def tier 2
Dallas, atlanta, houston, seattle, miami and Philadelphia, chicago would be T2 for salary. Major cities, lower COLA, less competitive markets, etc.
BCG2 most companies don’t pay LA the same rate that they’d pay for Tier 1 cities (NY and SF). For ACN, there’s a 5k difference. Don’t know what it is for other firms
Seattle
For?
NOL
Chicago wishes it was on the shortlist for tier 2.
