Reevaluate your priorities. That extra 2% between tier 2 and tier 1 isn't worth all the extra hours/networking/personal life sacrifices.

Had my meeting today. Was told I need to be more involved in "non-client" activities to go from a 2 to a 1. So essentially I'm being penalized for busting my ass on client work while the people sitting around available planning fucking networking events get a higher rating.

Congrats, solid performance.

Why is raise and bonus so crappy compared to 2 then? @pwc2 trying to understand if three means we think you are kicking enough to stay afloat but we don't really think you are doing that great???

like

What's tier thee? Bad or fine?

Tier three is totally fine

@pwc 2 I do agree w your comment on diff between 1 and 2 though.

@pwc5 /- it's because there are so many 3s than 1s and 2sthat the money is getting split more ways.

She doesn’t seem like she knows what she wants - after the talk, she said she has strong feelings for me and wjll

Do you record your unbillable time? I have had conflicting responses. I have been told it's not good for efficiency calculations but others have told me if your still doing work let people know. For example, I get weird international stuff sometimes that not everyone gets (I think maybe? ) and I need to reread the 5471 rules or 8865 rules as I do the returns. I have been told not to bill for this but if I didn't have to spend time to do such things my billable hours would be higher
