Greeting, I'm a 3rd year kinder teacher with a bachelors in elementary ed. I feel like I'm near my breaking point, & I want out before I get there. I love certain things about teaching, but all in all its just not worth the money for the amount of bs I have to do & put up with. The dilemma is I've only ever worked within education or with kids in some form. I really want to branch out into a different career field, but I'm nervous & not sure what I can apply my degree to. I recently left my corporate paralegal role to return to a small personal injury firm. I was shocked to learn that the HITECH fee no longer applies if a client requests their medical records be sent to a third-party (e.g. attorney). Has anyone had any success modifying their HITECH request template for clients so there IS a fee limitation AND the records are sent directly to their attorney? Paying $100+ for hospital records is sickening.
