Hi everyone, can anyone from ZS associates help me understand the range of salary for Senior software Engineer - Test ( cadre equivalent to AC) at Pune, India location ? What would be the top end salary for this role for a candidate with 5 YOE? And i also want to know the type of work they have for software engineering teams. I know ZS is not a typical IT firm with focus on technology only, but domain expertise also plays a big role for someone working software quality field.

For those who have jumped from one Big 4 to another, how long do you give it before you decide it might be time to boomerang back? A couple of months in and still not sure this was the correct move.

Reduced hours question - at my V10 firm associates can opt for a lower hours arrangement (say 80%) and the salary is docked the same. However, if you ultimately end up billing 100%, the salary is made whole to 100%, paid with the bonus. Is this the norm in V50 firms? Or how do other firms handle reduced arrangements?

I’ve been saving a lot of money since quarantine started (mostly involuntarily, there’s not much to spend on). I’ve got 6 car payments left on my 2019 VW (it’s a good car, I expect to keep it for another 3 years at least- only 6000 miles on the clock)

Should I go ahead and pay it off right away? The APR is 0%, so I’d not be saving anything in interest payments, but I’m not investing my recent savings in anything (I might need the money if I’m laid off). WWYD?

Interviewed at large media firm for an internal consulting role. Interview went well. Recruiter had said that would be the only round of interviews. This is a new role that the division has created for the first time. Recruiter later replies via email that hiring team is excited for my candidacy and we should have another conversation for 'next steps'.

What could the recruiter want to talk about?

We have already talked about salary expectation, location, notice period during prior calls.
