Posted a few days ago. This you?
Amex platinum card. Gets you into the airport lounges with free booze, which makes waiting, boarding, and flying easier.
But I work for Accenture, and “MOAR BOOZE” is out answer to everything
Same. Neck pillow, good over-ear Bluetooth headphones, comfortable travel clothes to change into/out of (time and location permitting), a good book, interesting podcasts, possibly some cached Netflix shows, and a weed pen or edible (if you’re into that kind of thing).
I’ve started full body stretches/yoga routines each night in my hotel room, especially focusing on back, neck, and shoulders. It seems to have helped with my residual pain and stiffness
Oh and definitely stay hydrated with water. Get a nice travel bottle you can refill. Airplanes are very dry and dehydrate you quite a bit. Drink, but not so much that you’re using the bathroom all the time. You’d be surprised how much better you feel when you’re properly hydrated
Weed pen for travel is a GAME CHANGER
Ya there’s an amazing supplement called adderol.
Drink more water. Not necessarily more liquids, but more water.
hit the gym as soon as you can after you land. even if it’s at end of work day. increased heart rate resets the body clock and clears the mind. even 20 good mins is enough to achieve the above outcome.
Yoga 1-2 times a week. GAME CHANGER for how my overall body, but most especially my back and neck feel after weekly travel
Plan to arrive at the airport 30 mins before departure time, no less no more. Always get a bottle of water and finish it during flight As soon as boarding, get your noise canceling / in ear headphones and listen to some calm ass water sounds. Get your blanket on. Sleep. Wake up and work, watch smth, whatever. As soon as getting out of the gate, call Uber.
Neck pillow, eye mask, ear plugs, melatonin, comfortable casual clothes to redeye in. You can only manage, however. Hydration is important; alcohol may take off the edge but it’s not doing you any favors in the sleep department.
That is what I like look like but I didn’t post that lol. I think the hydration tip is good. Any thoughts on earplanes or anything? My ears seem to be super sensitive to the altitude changes.
The human body was also not built to eat processed food and lay around on the couch for the entire day and watching TV. But we have devolved to that. We could devolve to flying cross country too.
Also for 5+ hr flights I take melatonin and sleep. I take calcium, zinc and magnesium for potential joint pain on the flight. There are self heating eye masks in CVS. Get all of those!
The human body was not built for weekly cross country travel. It will eventually kill you
Do you mean earphones or earplugs? Ear phones I just got some $40 ones on amazon (MPOW is the brand I think). Others swear by the more expensive Bose models.
Earplugs I don’t think will help with the pressure pain, but they would help with noise. For pressure you could try a decongestant? A google search may help you more here than I can
Greens powder, mix w water
A1 no like these: https://www.target.com/p/earplanes-aep-earplugs-1pr/-/A-75002868
Alcohol.....its been proven to work
Thanks for all the advice. A2 I totally agree with you. I want to get out of consulting but it just hasn’t happened yet.
Take care of your skin too, I use face masks the night after travel, and for longer flights I put on a transparent mask during and constantly reapply lip balm. If people nearby have their windows open I’ll also put on sunscreen
