Take edibles to relax and get good sleep? 🤣 But honestly, that's how I've been managing increased social holiday hangouts and work burnout
I'm in the mood that everything assigned right now is a 2023 problem. Just accept that your productivity or your team's productivity will be low and roll with it. Also, start your new year's resolutions now instead of in January.
Ok so I used to have one of those subscriptions where you get like a package of sheet masks and then my plan was to do a mask every few days in the evening (some people do them while making breakfast etc). I swear that the only benefit was how attractive the packets looked on my shelves and how excited I was to receive them in the mail and add them to the stack. I have not figured out what works yet but I am on the hunt for a good night moisturizer because suddenly my skin doesn't like the one I've got
Do not open any emails! That would be my number 1 advice. You should also start making preparations for the holidays so that you will not be overwhelmed.
Don't host a party! Just attend one but never host a party. I am sure it will make you stay away from stress.
Turn on the DO NOT DISTURB mode on your phone. Do not open any emails. Also, avoid toxic relatives. LOL
Get a good night sleep. Make a conscious effort not think about work. Meditate for at least 30 minutes daily in the morning.
Go on a vacation! Buy yourself presents and get relax your mind. Also, jasmine tea helps calm your nerves.
I do meditation and yoga in the morning! Although sometimes I switch it up and do HIIT or weights. Either way, some kind of movement in the morning makes me feel like I have so much more energy
Since the holiday requures so much preparation, I found planning everything in advance helped me lessen my stress. Oh also with asking people for help. As a mom, I think everything falls on my shoulder. It's okay to ask help.
Squeeze in time for a quick workout and meditation session in the morning and a filling breakfast to wake you right up and boost your energy for the day. At night, take melatonin for better quality sleep. Make a list for everything you need to do on the holidays so you know which tasks need priority.
Some commitments will inevitably fall on the same day amongst coworkers, friends, and family. Plan ahead and decide what events you can attend in person or electronically. Make a menu if you're hosting the holidays to keep organized and simplify grocery shopping.
Create relaxing surroundings. Turn on some music, light some candles or open the windows on a sunny day. Research has found that listening to music and the scent of citrus can boost feelings of well-being, and vitamin D is always a happiness booster.
