Ask for a rotation/DWE first if you’re not 100% set on the group you’re transferring to. Did that in May, loved it. Came back to my original group and expressed my interest to transfer to my coach, senior I worked with during rotation, and I got lucky. They all worked together along with the partners in both groups and I’m transferring effective this fall.

Cool aid^

^ I switched groups and now regret it. Not everything is as it seems from the outside.

From someone who has transferred, I agree with PwC1 - It's imperative you have a very good understanding of the "day to day" prior to committing to transfer. One other point, you have no goodwill with your new group; you'll need to earn your groups trust/approval - which can be a good and bad thing, just food for thought.

PwC boomerang here. I got a letter stating that I can buy back into the 401(k) to restore my unvested firm matching amounts that I forfeited when leaving. Is there an option to do that for the wealth builder as well? Appreciate any insight!
