You really shouldn’t procrastinate on the job if you like it enough- if you are then something in the job ain’t working

Make a list for the day/week and force yourself to do the things you don't want to do (or at least some of them) before you start working on the things you want to do. You'll essentially be rewarding yourself for good behavior.

If anyone is looking for a job working in RSM's tax financial services group that has experience in either Private Equity, Hedge Funds, or Venture Capital space send me a message. Please have a resume for me to review and then I can get you setup for an interview. I am based on Los Angeles, but I am not concerned about location, as we need people in this space all throughout the firm. I spent 13 years with the big four before making the move and it was the best decision I have made.

This Friday is my last day at my current role, I have 5 interviews for recruiting positions / office assistant jobs! I don’t want to be out of work for more than a week because of bills ofcourse, so would it be best for me to accept my first job offer, or to take on a temp receptionist role with an agency while continuing to look for a solid job offer? I would feel bad working somewhere for 1 week.

At what level in general Public Accounting does accounting learning suffer from diminishing returns? For me, getting to 80% is important before moving onto the next stage. The final 20% takes too much dedication and effort for the knowledge learned. For more background, I'm not interested in being partner in PA, but would like some input from those that jumped at various levels!

I want to leave consulting really bad but a part of me is holding on and I’m not sure why. I hate the up or out model, the extra shit (rfps, updating decks, etc), the WLB, the clients. The only thing I can say I enjoy is the delivery and analysis I do. I’ve been contacted by a few recruiters but haven’t taken them seriously...And maybe I’m just waiting for the right opportunity? I can’t be the only one right?
