I did! Base is 20% higher than current 🤩 thought I was underpaid… guess this proves it 😂 Doesn’t hurt to negotiate. You’ll never know what will come of it. Good luck 🤞🏻

OP, any updates?? How’d it go?

I have been working on a contract basis for a large tech company as a Technical Account Manager since December of 2020. The terms of the contract of the firm I’m employed by state that I will convert to an employee of the tech company after my first year of employment. I recently learned that the tech company charges over $400K a year for me to be a dedicated TAM. What starting salary should I expect when I convert to an employee of the tech company? Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

I have questions for EY Tax technology and transformation team. I am getting promoted this year as a tax senior and thinking of switching firms. I do have a tech background (info sys/data science) with knowledge on basic programming languages which i am certain that i forgot most of them.. Will they still pick me up as a senior or would i have to go down as a staff level? Also curious about what they do & their compensation.

Consulting vets, normal? I was lured into consulting and lost benefits due to the challenging transformation program being right up my alley. I have a multi year contract with heavy director duties promising fast track to Sr leadership. Day 1 I find out Iead no one and the MD is in charge. A few months later I get involved in spending nights and weekends for 3 weeks making a 60+ page deck. Company wins part of the contract and hires 12 more. Since then I have been ignored by them. No bonus!

Some of you are “following the money” into stagnation. Sometimes money shouldn’t be the sole consideration for taking a position. What are your long term goals? Does the position align? Is the environment conducive to your growth? Sometimes the lower paying option could lead you on the path to C-Suite in long term
