Would you rather have a smart client or dumb client? I prefer dumb because they’re easier to please usually
Just transferred firms and I feel like a failure. I have no idea what’s going on in the project, feel like no one likes me, and I’m not doing a good job. I feel like just going back to my old firm.
If all the top consulting firms made anonymous decks or gave anonymous pitches to a client, eg no branding and the client did not know which firm made which deck, do you actually think that the client would prefer MBB? Is MBB actually coming up with better/more innovative solutions? I feel like I see many repeat or slightly altered solutions on almost all of my cases, are these really things that people at Deloitte/Accenture etc aren’t coming up with?
10am local and already spent as much time (3.5 hr) at client as I had sleep. Dying. Need more coffee.
Anyone have advice on how to regain access to a hacked Instagram account? My client locked themselves out and we’ve tried all the usual methods 🙃
Which consulting firm is leading the way in knowledge management (storing deliverables and indexing them so that you don’t have to recreate the wheel with every proposal)? I hear the McK requires project teams (chargeable time) to take a week break after engagement to store and index deliverables for future use.
I’m between features and looking to add to my subtle humor/visual storytelling/kids commercial reel. Anyone out there have a legit but budget-challenged client job they’d like produced at cost?
I absolutely hate my project, but keep getting extended. what reasons can I give to leave the project besides outright telling the SM that I hate it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. TIA

Does anyone else identify as non-binary/genderqueer? I am starting to come out to my friends in the LGBTQ community but I’m scared to do it at work. I also have a pretty conservative client.
If your client is 3/31 year end but books investments at NAV using the 12/31 market value adjusting for cash flows, what’s the best way to approach this? They don’t book 3/31 because they don’t get the numbers in time. Curious what other people do
Why are so many new Cs of the mindset that they only need to work M-F? We work on the client's schedule.
So I’m the only female, aside from a rarely-present senior manager, in an audit room for a 9/30 busy season client. Over the past two weeks I’ve heard no less than five sexist comments,
Is a client hitting on you at the end of case dinner inappropriate? The case is over and I'll never see them again but it still felt like they were crossing a line.
Just got staffed on a project in Pittsburgh. Don’t own a good winter coat since I am born and raised in Georgia. Any recommendations for coats that are cute but will keep me warm as well?
Any interns here? How's your remote internship going so far? Must be a weird experience...
Got an intracompany transfer offer for US and Australia - where should I head? Longterm goal: live in the US and work in tech (esp. Google). US offer: L1B visa, not transferable to other companies. Greencard uncertain. TC n/a but probably 🥜 Australia: work visa transferable, Sydney or Melbourne. Work in AU, switch to Google -> relocate to US. TC probably 🥜 too
Anyone receive an offer for Senior Manager, Strat and Ops role at DoorDash recently? Do you mind sharing what was your total comp? Have an exploding offer and might not be able to finish the DD process. Did a search but couldn’t find the range.
Have to travel for work to Pleasanton, CA. Any suggestions on towns I should live in and hotel recommendations if any? I suspect San Francisco is too far out but wondering if there is anything nearby. Don’t mind going off the beaten path and getting a cabin in the woods if needed 😀

Looking to buy our first home. Any recommendations on banks that offer mortgages on H1B in NJ?
Level unlocked - A big4 partner who interviewed and grilled me for 45 mins said 'It doesn't feel like an interview cos I wasn't able to make you feel uncomfortable' Why am I posting this here - Motivation, fwiw. 4/5 months ago I was probably the most awkward, anxious non native interviewer. Got a McK interview, practiced like never before, failed the final round due to anxity/casing eff ups. Although I failed, gained lot of confidence and have been flying thru tier 2/b4 interviews since.

I am soon 2 Years at BCG, but my ratings make it unlikely that I make the promotion to C - what are my options? Will BCG help me find another job / give me paid notice to search for new opportunities? Outside of consulting, what would be a realistic position to aim for after 2 years A?

Does anyone know a good range to ask for KPMG Senior manager salary? Jumping from Deloitte.
Just negotiated a 35% salary bump and promo for my new job!!! Used to be too afraid to negotiate. Just sharing my news to motivate someone else and bc I’m just dang excited! 😬😩🤪
Wow so I’m a first time people manager in industry (big company) and I’m in the process of getting one of my direct reports promoted. I am shocked that HR’s formal stance is that I have to jump through hoops to rescope the role to justify the promo instead of singing the praises of the direct report who is a rockstar. Theoretically I get the logic of “emphasize the role and not the direct report” but can’t help but feel disappointed that’s the way it is. Are all big companies like this?
Hello ladies... Really need your advice on this. I am currently on work visa (L1B) and want to travel to Dubai on the first week of July. Do you know if there will be any restrictions to enter back to US from Dubai?
