That said. About the OGs
1. Some of them are obnoxious and this can be seen in their replies to people who aren't trolls
2. Some are really oblivious to the value of money since they just started earning
3. Some really don't know what the market standards are any more (honestly it's very confusing for everyone)
To the fishes replying
1. No, a lot of people aren't lying about their salary. Just because you don't have it doesn't mean it's all fake. Companies are paying really well. Just because you personally don't know someone earning that well, doesn't mean it's fake.
2. This is supposed to a supportive community to uplift each other. You know about good salaries n opportunities in companies because people post it. The more you continue your trolling, the less people will share the kind of opportunities they have come across.
3. These people who get these unheard of salaries have worked really hard in prep to get them. And they have proved themselves to whichever company has given them an offer. Instead of putting them down, ask them how they prepped or just plain say congrats and move on. Don't hate on them for doing well in life. If you envy them, use that as motivation to move yourself
To everyone:
Find happiness in the moment and keep learning even if you aren't trying to switch. Money will never be enough and that should always be a part of your motivation but not all of it. Work towards money+physical and mental wellbeing+a life outside work+ keeping up with latest tech.
Spread encouragement, not hate.
I second you
