How to gracefully refuse an offer that the hiring manager was pursuing relentlessly for past 1 week?

I’m interviewing for secretary and came across one I like who has 12 years experience at a well-respected law firm on Long Island. She has worked primarily in litigation. Two things seem wonky though: I asked her if she is a notary public and she said “no” and when I asked how what her salary requirement is and she only asked for $65k per annum. Am I missing something here?

Graduating with PhD in comp neuro next year. I just did a week long internship at MBB to check out consulting, which I loved but ultimately will not be accepting my offer for life considerations (my wife also works at MBB and we have young children). It was amazing getting a sense of what the work actually comprises.

Are there any similar day-long or week-long internship programs for data science? Would love to test it out for a little bit to see what I like/dislike.

I recently switched to industry and struggling to find my place in the Boys Club. There are barely any women in relevant positions ... I see the guys (mostly ex MBB) high fiving each other. When I join the group they get silent. They also try to put all work on me. I feel they regard me as 2nd tier bc I come from big4 ... same time they cannot answer any of my questions properly. Can any of you share tactics that worked for you? Any advice is appreciated, can also provide more context if needed!

For McKinsey PEI, I was told I’ll be asked 1 question on leadership and 1 question on personal impact. I prepared 2 examples for each as recommended but these examples will only work if I’m asked generic questions like “Tell me about a time when you showed leadership” or “Tell me about a time you made personal impact”. Can someone from McK confirm if the questions asked will be more generic or specific?
