You guys and gals gotta get on that #HyattLyfe
Hyatt point value is great but hotels are limited.
Ambassador status here and only traveling for fun the last couple years but don’t think I’ve been upgraded once. Starting to piss me off.
How are you keeping ambassador while only traveling for fun?
Ambassador here, I think I haven’t been upgraded maybe 4 times in the past 2 years (still traveled every week). However it’s starting to get busy again, so YMMV
Depends on the hotel. Been staying at crappy ones due to client locations, so the “suites” aren’t that great, but get them almost every time unless the hotel is sold out.
Marriott Lifetime Gold - NEVER get upgrades. What I have been doing is calling the day of and asking for “my upgrade”. Sometimes I say I got an e mail from Marriott saying I’m eligible. That actually worked a few months back in California. Got a killer upgrade at an Autograph collection
Use the chat in the app the day of check-in. Ask them if they have any upgrade rooms available. Works for me most of the time.
Titanium and never get upgraded even if I try to use my suite night credits.
Platinum here, getting “upgrades” but not to suites - just the top end regular rooms
Amen, those tubs are so gross
Ambassador and rarely get upgrades, never anything super awesome.
Marriott - no upgrades (platinum) in US, 80% outside of US
Hilton - no upgrades (diamond) in US, 50% upgrade outside of us
IHG - upgrades (spire) 100%
Agreed. I’m an IHG spire royal ambassador and get 100% upgrades. Just not always the most desirable hotels in a particular location.
Hilton diamond status here :)
Ambassador here mostly get upgraded
Hotels are 78% or better capacity at this point,
I upgrade about 80% of the time and it didn’t change during the past Demir
Ambassador here- always got upgraded even in places like Ritz and the vacation resorts. Actually in international travel, I got unbelievable upgrades with their best of class suites.
Marriott status actually mean something internationally, just not in the US. Always got 2 bedroom suite upgrades in Europe.
Girlfriend has been Ambassador for years and we never get upgraded - got one big one a while back but nothing since
