To communicate that you had shortened a deck, would you say that you “curtailed” the deck?

Condensed?

Trimmed. Tightened up. Cleaned up.

But yeah, not “curtailed” — to me that implies truncation with possible meaning lost.

Condensed or trimmed

like

Absolutely not. Someone who “curtails” a deck definitely doesn’t have short decks.

Never

Depending on context, and how much was moved

1) Picked some of the key / summary slides.
2) Moved some slides to appendix
3) Removed slides for brevity

Abbreviated

I’ll second that ^

Refined, condensed, streamlined,

Fixed

Is curate the more appropriate yet similar sounding word you mean?

Abridged

Right sized

Deleted

If I saw this I would assume it came from an offshore team - “kindly revert to the curtailed deck and notify of any queries”

My sister in-law got a puppy about 6 months ago and she brings the puppy everywhere. I just moved into my new condo and will invite the family over. I really don’t want the puppy in my new condo - he smells and gets on the sofa, and my sister in-law never stopped him. How should I tell her that I don’t think she should be bringing the puppy over without damaging our relationship?

I'm the only associate on a case with two partners. The elderly, managing partner thinks that a party has had three prior wrecks, I'm confident that the party only had one. How should I handle this?

I’ve been working in cyber risk in the federal sector for a few years and I’m finding I enjoy “advise” projects much more than operate/implement (I’m guessing on the implement piece since I’ve done pursuits for it and seen the technical sections, but I haven’t done the work).

If I wanted to pivot into a strategy firm and stay federal (or government in general), what firms would be ideal? I’m not basing it off prestige (MBB vs non MBB).
