Met through a mutual friend when I was 28, we hit it off, and got married less than two years after meeting.

Our relationship is awesome and totally worth waiting for. If I had been 38 instead of 28 when we met, it *still* would have been worth being single until 38 to have this relationship.

Not having baggage from previous failed relationships (kids, marriage scars, etc.) is one of the things we are so grateful we don't have, and makes our relationship so much easier. Marrying the wrong person who's "close enough" to perfect just to get married is probably going to lead to unhappiness, possibly divorce and kids and custody battles. All that makes it harder to have a relationship with the person you really love when you find them.

So don't settle!! A great relationship is worth waiting for, and you'll find it! 👍🏻

@SA1: Had flown my jet to an air show in Texas. Saw a much larger plane do some crazy maneuvers as part of the show and a few hours later I walked to that plane to shake the pilots hand. Fighter guys like me appreciate when big aircraft can be handled like that. Went up into the cockpit and there stood the most beautiful woman I've ever met. I asked if I could come into the cockpit and she told me that she called it the box office. Love at first sight until the tequila that night ruined it. Didn't see her again for a year. Bumped into her in Hawaii by chance and were married four months later. That was 5.5 years and a 2 yr old boy ago. Again, I was happily single and not looking at all. Just hit me like a bullet.

OP - unless you want to have 20 kids, you are still really young to feel despair about not being in a relationship!!!
Take it from someone who has been married and divorced twice - do not rush it.

Met my wife 15 years ago through a mutual friend at college. We grew up in the same city and had random mutual friends. We have identified at least 9 instances over a 4-5 year span where we were in the same place but never met each other (e.g., high school football games, band competitions, college parties, etc) until the friend introduced us. I am 100% convinced it was meant to be. Married 11 years and going strong.

I’m talking to someone that I have a really strong connection with. We’ve been texting frequently and video chatting with plans to meet up IRL in June. I’m still interested in seeing what else is out there, just because we’ve been talking for two weeks, so I redownloaded the dating app. If you were in this person’s shoes, would you be upset if you or your friend saw the person you’ve been talking to on the dating app? Feeling guilty for being on it, but we haven’t met up IRL

Hi, I am a newly graduate, with plans of starting at BCG as an associate in September. But just now got an offer as Chief of Staff at a database company w higher compensation.

Career wise, is BCG always the best option? I feel that the DB company is quite thrilling since it starts an expansion phase to APAC/AUS with HQ in Silicon Valley. But I do appreciate that BCG is a good brand/good schooling.

Any tips? Is Chief of Staff a good role even? Is it basically being a secretary?

I have my HSG scheduled at Shady grove today and I’m freaking out. They don’t use a balloon and the doc said they use a low pressure catheter , so it shouldn’t be very painful. Has anyone had HSG at shady grove and can share experience? Also did you conceive after HSG at shady grove ?
