What is your question? I’d begin by flying 15 flights and earning 1500 PQP.
You can get Pqfs with the credit card spend (4K and 8k) for like 2 flights. Other than that it’s basically a segment run
Thanks. Already got the 2 pqfs. Exhausted that.
PQP is a measure of how much you spend so there isn’t much you can do other than spend $1500 on United flights. 8 x $200 round trips will get you there.
United gave everyone a promotional offer for Q3/Q4 flying. Did you check yours and have you factored the bonus PQPs in?
Yes. Thanks. Did factor it
Pro
What hub are you flying mainly?
PDX, portland., OR
Might consider a bunch of back and forths to SFO or DEN. If you were in a main UA hub, I’d look for short, cheap flights with short turnarounds.
We’ve got one out of IAH that’s like $100 round trip to a small town near by. Flight out is 30 minutes with a 45 minute turnaround back to IAH on the same plane. Apparently a pretty common PQF route according to flight attendant who sees several of the same Plat/1k customers each week during promotion periods this year
PWC1, did some research and found that the taxes / fees percentage decreased significantly when you book higher class / price. For economy it was like 30% fees/ taxes whereas business was 18%. So while it may not be significant there is some difference as you go higher fare. Thought i would share.
Understand. But is there a smart way to maximize with less spend?
No. United sucks and so u just gotta spend 1500. even if u get first class u gotta spend 1500. Letting my status expire
May be spend more than 1500 because of the tax and fees.
Yep.
Also iam trying for the same destination with multiple stops to cover the PQF, so i dont need too many days traveling. 1 stop or more. Would that have any cons on pqp ? Thanks
I took the mileage plus partner route for international and helped double up compared to united international
