What agency offers employees the best per diem?
I've got a job offer from Deloitte Latvia ( Deloitte Central Europe) for the Riga City. The gross compensation is 3000€/monthly along with one time 2500€ as a relocation allowance with other benefits like 45€/month as Telephone reimbursement etc & other usual Deloitte benefits. Currently I've a ctc of 11 LPA at EY & 3.5 YOE. Is it worth accepting the offer after all calculations. #Deloitte #Europe #Latvia . Deloitte EY . Kindly provide some insights if u have any .

Be thankful that you aren't being asked to put in 65+ hour weeks. Enjoy the downtime, I'm sure you'll be staffed before you know it.
I had a similar problem coming back from leave. My teams had been working without me for so long that getting myself looped back in was hard. I wasn’t billing anywhere near what I should have. Eventually it picked back up. It was easy to explain at year end that I was out on leave/ramping back up and that’s why my utilization was low. I don’t know what group you’re in, but most areas are short staffed so I don’t think you’ll be sitting on the bench long. Enjoy the slow transition back!
I wasn’t technically on the bench, but my teams were just unsure of how to loop me back in to everything. I know that sounds crazy. I came back mid-busy season as a manager so tasks were divvied up amongst team members already and I was joining meetings while waiting for things to review. I’d set up meetings to catch up with people about clients or how they were doing. I did trainings. And I definitely was stressed that they didn’t need me anymore and I’d lose my job. Things picked up after a month or so.
PwC protects your position for a year after your leave begins. I certainly do not know Deloitte policy but I’m assuming it will be somewhere along those lines as. Heck, worst case PwC is taking anything that breaths! 🙂
Haha thank you for the support! I’m definitely breathing 😆 I asked around and it seems like this is “normal” after maternity leave, which honestly it shouldn’t have been this way, we already have the stress of caring for a baby, hormones etc.

You thinking you are going to get fired in this job market?!!!
I know it’s natural to feel weird when you first get back, but they won’t fire you. I would try to relax and enjoy the gentle easing back into work and just know you will get staffed eventually. It might impact your bonus, but that’s it.
I’m back from leave and my utilization has been terrible. I’m actually up for promotion. It really doesn’t matter.
Thank you so much for this! I am def overthinking and over analyzing this! Prob feeling guilty that I am getting paid and not billing clients! How crazy is that?!! good luck with your promotion. I hope you and your coach can explain you were on maternity leave to justify your low utilization

Lucky. I got back and they were expecting me to charge 55-65 hours of client time from week 1. I got burned out immediately and quit after 2 months. 🤷♀️
