Always send! No exceptions. Make sure it is sincere, mention’s something that came up in the interview, is written well, and has no errors. It gives another opportunity for them to connect your name with the person they met. I’m not saying you can’t get the job without doing this, but if you want to maximize your chances, always send.

The one time I did I didn’t get the offer and I’ve gotten about 4 offers without thank you notes. I usually don’t, and I don’t actually like receiving them after I interview someone. That might just be me.

Not after a screener. I will after a round, but it's not required.

It can’t hurt!

I have never given or not given someone a job based on thank you notes. Unless it is a super competitive process, they have probably already decided.

You can send after a screener. I’ve found sending after a screener helped me move to second rounds. For those I sent after the full round, it did not seem to help and felt awkward.

I would send one after any interview.

He mentioned there will be a delay in releasing the offer letter since merging is happening right now. few days back I sent a mail to HR.. but no reply. and after that I received a mail stating they are no longer considering me for this position. Does this happen to anyone else ?
